Maria Smith is an experienced Senior Compliance Officer who helps investment advisers navigate complex regulatory requirements and develop practical, effective compliance programs that support their business objectives while meeting evolving regulatory standards.

Before joining Standish Compliance, Ms. Smith served as a Principal Consultant at ACA Group, where she partnered with a diverse range of private fund advisers to strengthen their compliance programs and address regulatory challenges, including exams. Earlier in her career, she was an RFP Specialist at Federated Hermes, where she built a strong foundation in investment management, client communications, and business development support.

Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Boston University.
